Master Cleanse Diet
The Master Cleanse Diet has been used for decades by all people who want to lose weight quickly, people desiring a connection with their bodies, and people who want to quit addictive vices such as smoking, junk food, alcohol and caffeine. It is used as a detoxification agent to rid the body of toxins such as prescription drugs, food additives, pesticides and other substances. These toxins can be noxious to the body and its functions, such as the digestive system and the respiratory system.
The Master Cleanse is most commonly used as a rapid weight loss method, especially since it is now well-known and highly publicized as effective and convenient. It is often recommended by nutritionists for weight loss, and some experts claim that when done correctly, any weight lost through the Master Cleanse Diet will be kept off. Aside from the weight loss benefits, the Master Cleanse is mainly a cleansing diet, clearing the body of harmful toxins and unhealthy substances. It also replaces all the chemical reliant energy used in our body with a more natural, abundant source of energy.
The Master Cleanse Diet consists of drinking fresh lemonade or lime juice mixed with cayenne pepper powder, grade B maple syrup and purified water. Over the course of the Master Cleanse, which lasts for 10 days, a person consumes only this specific beverage, between five and eight glasses, and eats no solid foods. It is also recommended to drink Senna or colon cleansing herbal tea every night to create regular bowel movements, since no solid food is consumed. After the desired time of the Cleanse, the person slowly incorporates food back into their diet, starting with juices, then fruits and vegetables and finally adding soups and broths.
A day or two later, you can bring back more vegetables into your diet, and then eventually you can add fruits and nuts. You can slowly incorporate larger doses of more nutritional foods into your diet. This should keep the weight off and keep your body toxin free. If you took up the Master Cleanse diet for a special event or occasion and you continue to eat unhealthy food after, it can be very unhealthy for your digestive system, and destructive to the benefits that you have gained through the diet.
